WHEN AND HOW TO APPLY
When:
Students can apply in the summer for placement in the Fall, Winter or Spring academic quarters or the quarter prior to the desired placement quarter.
How:
- If qualified, create a password and login to BIO website
- Complete Application
- Upload Resume in Word format (Resume Instructions)
- Send an email to the Intern Coordinator, April Hunter (ahunter@ucsd.edu)
- If you meet the requirements you will be notified via email within two weeks of submitting your application.
- Schedule an appointment with the Coordinator (ahunter@ucsd.edu)
- Your resume is posted for companies to review directly and you will be contacted directly by the mentoring companies.
- Interview with company, Notify the Coordinator of interview schedule and their outcome
- If accepted in the program- the company will notify you and submit a learning agreement on line; verify with the company that the agreement is submitted then
- Schedule an appointment with ahunter@ucsd.edu to complete your enrollment forms
- Print and complete the forms below and bring them with you to your appointment
- Final Step: Take forms to **Student affairs to finalize BISP 197 enrollment
** Make appointment with Dana Brehm (ugrads2@biomail.ucsd.edu - Undergraduate Student Affairs in Pacific Hall) to obtain enrollment approval and advice on how course credit may be used. (Return to Dana Brehm and then to Registrar's Office)
